As we do not have Key Stage 2 pupils at this school we have no comparative data for the end of the primary phase. However, our latest Key Stage 1 attainment information is under the section headed 'Our School' in the 'Performance Results' tab.

Reading-Phonics - The school follows the DfE Letters and Sounds programme, using a variety of resources, for example Jolly Phonics, Oxford Reading Tree and numerous commercial resources. (See section headed Curriculum-Reading)

Our Academy receives an allocation of funding for pupils who are eligible for free school meals. This is identified as the Pupil Premium of the school's allocated budget. Full details of the Pupil Premium funding, how it is used and the impact it has had is shown in the Parents' menu tab under the section headed 'Pupil Premium'.

Sections 449-462 of the Education Act 1996 set out the law on charging for school activities in schools maintained by local authorities in England.
We do charge for optional extras; this includes lunch and after-school clubs (because this is education provided outside of school session times that is not part of the National Curriculum). For more details please see our 'Charging and Remissions Policy' in our policies section.
Occasionally, we ask parents/carers for a voluntary contribution for specific school activities (usually a class trip or to pay for a visitor to school). No child is excluded from an activity simply because his or her parents/carers are unwilling or unable to pay. If insufficient voluntary contributions are raised to fund an activity, then it would be cancelled.
Throughout the year we hold a number of events to raise additional funds for the school, e.g. Christmas Fair, Sponsored Walk. The Governors have an agreed criteria for using this additional money. We also seek parent and pupil views how they would like the monies to be spent for the benefit of the whole school community.
The Governors have agreed to subsidise all school visits and key events e.g. Pantomime. The cost charged per child is after this subsidy has been taken into account.
